"A long as I can remember I loved to take things apart and put them back together, so as soon as I bought my first car I knew I wanted to work on cars. I felt lucky coming out of High School that I already knew what I wanted to do for a career. The CAP program seemed like the perfect next step. What is better than to work for the number one quality car manufacturer in the US.? The way the program is taught is the perfect blend, alternating from classroom to interning at a dealership."

"I chose CAP because the paid internships allow me to immediately apply what I have learned in class, all while earning an income. The training aids and material supplied by Chrysler are all state of the art, and make the transition to the dealer extremely easy."

Northwest Mississippi Community College automotive technology program provides a new direction for Iraq veteran...
After working for himself as a handyman, he decided he wanted to return to working in the auto industry. He heard about the Chrysler College Automotive Program (CAP) at Northwest after asking around at several dealerships. “A couple of them told me what a good program it was, so I decided to give it a try,” Harrell said. After speaking with Northwest CAP instructor, David Yount, he was accepted into the program and began attending Northwest in August, 2007. “I really like the program. Mr. Yount is a wealth of knowledge, and the Chrysler program is a good course. It keeps you busy, and you are always learning,” Harrell said. For more information on the CAP program, call Yount at 662-562-3391 or e-mail wdyount@northwestms.edu.
