THE CAP PHILOSOPHY

The Chrysler College Automotive Program (CAP) philosophy is a simple one: To develop the best trained and skilled workforce in the automotive industry to work on Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles in Chrysler Dealerships. It is a nationwide effort to prepare the next generation of service technicians with the technical training and the skills necessary to be successful while working in a Chrysler dealership.

The Chrysler College Automotive Program (CAP), established in 1984, is an automotive technician training-internship program that provides Chrysler dealerships with talented service technicians capable of servicing today’s complex vehicles. CAP provides valuable internship experience along with classroom instruction.  CAP offers on-site training at sponsoring dealerships under the direction of a master (mentor) technician. Students rotate class time and sponsoring dealership internship time over a 2-year period as they fulfill the requirements of an Associate Degree in Automotive Service Technology (or equivalent).

There is no better time than now for you to become an integral part of an industry that is overflowing with technology and is looking for well qualified people to enter the automotive service industry. If you enjoy an intellectually challenging environment that keeps you on your toes, we welcome you! If you have a passion for cars, computers, and enjoy solving complex issues, CAP is right for you! There is no better way to start your career than with an Associate Degree in Automotive Service Technology, earned through one of the colleges and universities associated with Chrysler CAP.

Chrysler believes that the competitive edge in this industry lies in the ability to service the technologies used in our products correctly the first time and every time. Our commitment to train the next generation of service technicians for our dealers through the College Automotive Program (CAP) is an integral part of our Philosophy.
